You will need:
🌿Plain pot with straight sides (column shape will work best)
🌿Coloured paper selection
🌿Modge Podge or PVA Glue
🌿Lead pencil
🌿Scissors
🌿A selection of leaves, flowers, seeds, pods etc

Materials Explained:
Step 1: Foraging for leaves and flowers
Look for your botanical inspiration ~ along a walk, in the garden, or even from indoor plants or flowers. Pick up some interesting shaped pieces, as you will be using these as a template for your paper shapes.
Step 2: Choosing your favourite
Have a look at what you've collected. Pick a mix of your favourites. Make sure you have some a range of sizes and shapes.
Step 3: Tracing your shapes
Roughly trace around your leaves and flowers on coloured paper. It doesn't need to be perfect, some will probably look more like abstract shapes.
Step 4: Cutting out your shapes
Cut out all your pieces. You can practice arranging them on the table.
Step 5: Applying your shapes to your pot
Using your paintbrush, paint a thin layer of Modge Podge/ PVA over the back of your paper pieces. Aim to brush from the inside out, and make sure all the edges are covered. It's a good idea to have a scrap piece of paper underneath to avoid getting glue everywhere.
Firmly stick each piece onto your pot, one by one- it's important to make sure there are no creases or bubbles. To make sure it's nice and flat, apply pressure with your palm for a moment.
Step 6: Sealing your Pot
Yay! Almost done. Now use your Modge Podge / PVA to paint a thin layer over the entire pot. Pay particular attention to the edges and corners of each shape- making sure they are all sealed flat to the pot. Wait for pot to dry (it'll only take around ten minutes)
HOORAY! You're finished!
That's your pot finished. All it needs now is a plant. 🌻
